Helping You Become Mum-efficient
Description :
Mums are struggling with the weight of tasks “to do”, places to be, getting busier and busier, finding less time for themselves and time with the family. Recent surveys have found that on average most Australian mums are spending 20 to 23 hours a week doing housework. And, in 82% of couple families with children under 15 where both parents were employed, one or both parents always or often felt rushed or pressed for time. Here are some of my best tips to help mums become mum-efficient and feel less stress around getting things done. • Take just 10 minutes a day to plan your schedule for the day. Surveys prove that 1 hour of planning saves 10 hours of doing. • Make a menu plan for the week. Saves hours of decision making and shopping time through the week and saves up to $100 per week at the checkout for a 6 person household. • Don’t stockpile laundry for one day in a week.  For large households do a wash once a day to stay on top of it, each task will be completed quickly no need to waste a day on the weekend. • Organise your spaces throughout the home remove clutter and label your designated spaces to help you find things quickly. • Create routines and systems for the regular tasks around the home. Making a launch pad area with a list of packing for school bags is an ideal place to start. Many mums love to be organised but simply don’t know where to start or how to complete an organised system for the home. I believe mums need to have time to themselves to explore their creativity and passions so they remain great mums and role models. Hiring a professional organiser can save time, money and energy making the process of becoming mum-efficient easier. A professional organiser designs systems and organises your spaces while taking in to account the family’s lifestyle and goals. They can also help setup time saving routines so that everyone benefits. By Carolyn Verhoef Outside the Box Organisation Solutions AAPO ‘Expert’ Accredited Professional Organiser
